The IEP Podcast is a new program under our Kansas Youth Transition Network Program that helps youth and young adults with an IEP find their voice, talk about their hopes, dreams and interests, and paves the way for successful IEP meetings. Here’s how it works:
- any student with an IEP is eligible and invited into our program
- we meet with you at our office to do a quick program intake and get to know you through casual conversation
- schedule a time to produce the podcast
- student comes in to our office studio and we run through how the podcast will work and what to do
- we hit record, introduce ourselves and we start the conversation by asking the participant to tell us about themselves
- we lead the conversation flow from there and through the podcast we learn all about the participants
- interests
- talents
- goals
- dreams for the future
- likes/dislikes
- ideas
- and more
- we edit and produce the IEPodcast to be added to Spotify and Apple Music
- we share the link with the participant and they can share it with their IEP team either during or before their IEP meeting, and may also share with family, friends etc.
