  • Access Board or Architectural and Transportation Barriers Compliance Board
    The mission of the Access Board is to develop minimum guidelines and requirements for standards issued under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Architectural Barriers Act (ABA), develops accessibility guidelines for telecommunications equipment and customer premises equipment under the Telecommunications Act, provides technical assistance on those guidelines, and enforces the Architectural Barriers Act. Also, new guidance material is now available on access standards for Federal electronic and information technology the Access Board issued under Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.

  • ADA Home Page
    The ADA Home Page is operated by the US Department of Justice (DOJ). The ADA gives the DOJ authority to issue regulations for Titles II and III of the ADA and to provide technical assistance and enforcement. DOJ enforces the ADA requirements in three areas: Title I, Title II, and Title III.  Information about: the toll-free ADA Information line, the Department's ADA enforcement activities, the ADA Technical Assistance Program, certification of state and local building codes, proposed changes in ADA regulations and requirements, and the ADA mediation program.

  • ADA Disability and Business Technical Assistance Program
    Since 1991, your ten regional Disability and Business Technical Assistance Centers (DBTACs) have been providing information, materials, technical assistance and training on the ADA. In 2001, their responsibilities expanded to include providing those same services in the area of accessible information technology.

    EEOC offers technical assistance on provisions applying to employment in Title I of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) and Section 501 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended. In addition EEOC provides information on how to file ADA and Section 501 complaints.
