Independent Living Day at the Capital (3/14/02)

All DEW Coalition Members are invited to participate in the annual Independent Living Day at the Capital on March 14, 2002 from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. It's time to unite in Topeka and meet with our legislators. Legislators need to hear from us in person before they make their decisions!

We will make appointments and divide into smaller groups for these visits.

An information packet and Lunch (from 11:30 until 1:30) will be provided in the Capitol rotunda, courtesy of the Statewide Independent Council of Kansas. Please contact Jennifer Schwartz or Bob Mikesic by March 7 at 12:00 noon, to let us know if you will be attending this important day. We need to turn in a lunch count by March 7th. (Turn around time is quick…Sorry for the short notice!)

Independence, Inc. will be taking a bus, so please contact us by Monday, March 11th if you would like a ride.
